[When Rei drops by, Stefan'll be in the main room, reading from his communicator rather than a holy book - the datary's got some fascinating texts, and there aren't enough hours in a day to read them all.

That, and he kind of has to return them in two weeks. He'll hear her footsteps before she comes in, so when she does arrive, he gives her a grateful smile.]

[ she steps forward with half a smile, offering a slight bow in greeting. ]

Hi. Stefan, right? I'm Rei.

[ cheerful enough, as rei looks around -- and instantly, she's at ease, letting out a slow exhale. the room feels... good. peaceful, at ease. ]

[Right, they don't do hand shakes in Japan. Stefan hastily bows in return.] Yeah. It's good to meet you in person.

Not exactly. I did a lot of interfaith ministry back home, but Allen was the one who really came up with this. [Stefan folds his arms thoughtfully. If Allen were here, he'd introduce them, but he makes a mental note to point the guy out later.] He said his old world - Paradisa? - had a church, and he thought I could run something similar.

I had the experience, so I said yes, one thing led to another, and... well, here we are.
